BECOME A MASTER OF THE GRILL

Our short courses, held at the Hawthorn, Melbourne, home of Australian Barbecue Academy principal Bob Hart, are an enjoyable and highly entertaining way to achieve mastery of your barbecue, and become a culinary legend in your own backyard.

In the space of an extended half-day, you will learn your way around a full range of barbecues, both gas and charcoal powered, have hands-on tuition in a range of recipes demonstrating the capabilities of each barbecue, be supplied with full course notes and recipes, and eat supremely well.

You will learn how to cook the perfect steak, impeccable lamb cutlets, butterflied leg of lamb, beer-butt chicken, smoked pork ribs, planked salmon, the ultimate burger, a range of vegetables including asparagus, corn and portobello mushrooms, and much, much more.

Morning courses start at 9.30am and run until around 2pm. Afternoon sessions begin at 2.30pm and run until around 6pm. The choice is yours.

For these courses, also, all barbecues, cooking implements, fuels and ingredients are supplied. Course participants will also be provided with an A•B•A kit of barbecue apron, heatproof barbecue mitt, pair of tongs, and cap, all in a handsome A•B•A tote bag.
